My model did a fantastic job, I feel like her young features worked well with what I was trying to create, I did this as many of the well known supermodels that walk in YSL shows and fashion week in general are young 18-21 aged. My model is 20 and personally she even looks younger.
I set this shoot out on a white background which was made of brick to try and give it that raw 'behind the scenes shot' I think I will use the same technique when I shoot my next catwalk image where I am going to create the look I did for my time assessment which features flicked coloured paints as I think that they will look like a little collection and will go hand in hand. I really wanted to stage them like this because I think it looks creative and like something I could imagine featured in a 'How to get Saint Laurent's SS catwalk look' with a range of products to suggest how to complete the look.
I love this block eye colour trend that features on catwalks as I think it creates something that is raw and slightly edgy. I ended up picking the colour pink for the look because I think it looked best on my models skin tone and I had yet to come up with a pink look featured in my designs, and as I was using pink and green as my main colour scheme through out my designs.
For the hair I wanted to try and keep a theme of slicked back and sophisticated because after researching the brand they don't seem to ever do much with the hair or anything too creative, which is something that I wanted to mimic.
The things that I could change would be to experiment with the hair but also perhaps with some styling options just to get some different pictures over all, but as I was organised for this shoot I knew exactly what I wanted and only really had time to do that look.
